FABRIC
Unlined French « Mi-Laine » Twill (55% cotton 45% wool) work over-shirt. This fabric is woven for the brand in France, using late 19th century industrial looms, reproducing the historic feel and durability known to be characteristic of French vintage workwear garments
FIT AND CONSTRUCTION
The shirt style is cut with a wide body fit, pleated sleeve, slim cuffs, center back box pleat and straight hem split on the side. It also features a beautiful slanted chest pocket and relaxed collar style which can be worn closed or open. It is fully sewn using single needle French seams, giving it strength as well as clean finishing. Both collar and cuffs are hand sewn offering a clean finish.
TREATMENT
Artisanal dark hand dyed « Mi-Laine » fabric, requiring time and expertise, allowing for this beautiful textured finish, using heat resulting in a slightly felted fabric.
FINISHING
Handsewn keyhole silk buttonholes in the front and cuffs, with 7 natural dark horn buttons.
