HNJ01 - TAILORED HUSSARD JACKET
FABRIC
Fully lined Tailored Hussard Jacket made in patchwork « Mi-laine » wool and cotton herringbone (50% organic cotton 50%wool), The outside fabric is woven for the brand in France, using late 19th century industrial looms, reproducing the historic feel and durability known to be characteristic of French vintage workwear garments. Fully lined in traditional tailoring viscose / cotton ivory twill (50/50%), woven in Italy, offering both comfort and durability.
FIT AND CONSTRUCTION
Fitted body with an officer collar, anatomic double darted sleeve (removing the seam from the elbow allows for better comfort) and historical back and shoulder construction, giving a lot of ease of movement, originally designed for horse riding. Highly practical design with its 2 inseam inside pockets and 3 outside inseam pockets, featuring the signature slanted welt. The jacket is cut with center back slanted vent, working button cuff sleeves and 4 button front closure. Cut and constructed with traditional tailoring craft, the extra seam allowance offers the possibility to alter the jacket’s size and fit.
TREATMENT
This mid weight « Mi-Laine » herringbone fabric is hand washed giving it its unique hand and texture.
FINISHING
Handsewn keyhole silk buttonholes in the front and cuffs, with 6 natural dark horn buttons, backed with leather patches for increased durability, following historical accuracy.
