A DAY BEFORE MODERN TIMES
Type III Jacket
Dark "Mi-Laine" Pin Stripe
FABRIC
Fully lined French « Mi-Laine » (cotton and wool) winter jacket, featuring a subtle light pin stripe. This fabric is woven for the brand in France, using late 19th century industrial looms, reproducing the historic feel and durability known to be characteristic of French vintage workwear garments. Fully lined in viscose and acetate jacquard and stripe made in Italy.
FIT AND CONSTRUCTION
Short boxy cut, one piece curved sleeve with arrow shaped button cuffs. Full body and sleeve lining. Highly practical design featuring 2 inseam inside pockets and 4 outside pockets, with signature sharp diagonal flaps. Cut and constructed with traditional tailoring craft, the extra seam allowance offers the possibility to alter the jacket’s size and fit.
TREATMENT
Artisanal dark garment dye : the jacket is dyed after being constructed. Shibori hand stitches are sewn on the piece and removed after the dye, creating different colors and textures around the stitch lines. This technics adds another dimension to the garment thanks to the creases and shades making it look like it was previously worn.
FINISHING
Handsewn keyhole silk buttonholes in the front and cuffs, with 7 natural dark horn buttons.
