FABRIC

Fully lined French « Mi-Laine » (cotton and wool) winter vest, featuring a subtle light pin stripe. This fabric is woven for the brand in France, using late 19th century industrial looms, reproducing the historic feel and durability known to be characteristic of French vintage workwear garments. Fully lined in viscose and acetate jacquard made in Italy.

 

FIT AND CONSTRUCTION

Straight body vest with 4 button front closure, featuring inseam cross body diagonal pockets, secured by a cotton loop and natural horn button. Full back lining in Italian viscose / acetate jacquard. Possibility to add a back belt, made with the lining fabric, offering the possibility to cinch the body for a slimmer fit.

 

TREATMENT

Artisanal dark garment dye : the jacket is dyed after being constructed. Shibori hand stitches are sewn on the piece and removed after the dye, creating different colors and textures around the stitch lines. This technics adds another dimension to the garment thanks to the creases and shades making it look like it was previously worn..

 

FINISHING

Handsewn keyhole silk buttonholes, with 6 natural dark horn buttons.
