In the late 16th century, an Italian dominican philosopher published “The City of the Sun”, describing an utopian city, based on common ownership, uniformization, and a rigid yet balanced social structure.

With this collection I imagined a modern version of this utopia : Civitasolis, a monochrome city, stuck between past and present, not exactly modern or outdated, straight out of the 1960’s futurism movement.

The city is characterized by a brutalist architecture : “Béton Brut” buildings, devoid of ornaments, with recurring geometric shapes.

Here, everyone exists through its function in society and expressing your true self and singularity is done against the norm.
